AQHA To Hold “Life Is a Ride”By Kentucky Equine Research Staff · September 6, 2012

The American Quarter Horse Association “Life Is a Ride” trail ride will be held September 21 to 23. All breeds of horses and types of riding are welcome. Proceeds will profit Horses and Hope, New Beginnings, and the Wounded Warrior Project. All horses must have a current negative Coggins certificate.

Camping is available at the Mammoth Cave Horse Camp near Mammoth Cave National Park In western Kentucky. More than 60 miles of horse trails await riders. Other area attractions include shopping, a zip line ride, cave tours, hiking, biking, historical points of interest, and Nolin Lake.

In addition to riding, the weekend will feature a live and silent auction, two bands, a cornhole tournament, live “racing,” door prizes, and contests.
