AQHA Schedules Show Management WorkshopsBy Kentucky Equine Research Staff · May 3, 2012
The American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) is offering two horse show management workshops, one for those new to the job and another for more experienced managers.
A special morning workshop, Show Management 101, will present the basic details of holding an AQHA-sanctioned show and learning the ins and outs of show management. This workshop for beginners will be held from 8:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 19, at the Minneapolis Airport Marriot in Bloomington, Minnesota. Registration for this seminar is $25 in addition to the $155 for the show management workshop registration fee.
The main show management workshop on the same date will allow a deeper look into marketing, promoting, organizing, and managing AQHA shows. This workshop is from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on May 19, and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on May 20, at the Minneapolis Airport Marriott. Participants are urged to bring a laptop and copies of entry forms to share with others.
Workshop spaces are limited. Reservations must be booked by May 9. For more information, e-mail valeries@aqha.org or fax to 806-349-6412.
