The Australian Horse Welfare Protocol has been accepted at the Australian Animal Welfare Strategy Conference in Sydney. National standards and guidelines are currently being finalised.
Animal Health Australia and other industry stakeholders are developing standards and guidelines for horse welfare.The protocol, notes, and a guide for clubs can be seen online.
