Ballynoe Castle RM Tops High-Score List for U.S. Event HorsesBy Kentucky Equine Research Staff · February 5, 2015

Ballynoe Castle RM, an Irish Sport Horse gelding, has topped the list as the highest-scoring U.S. event horse of all time. Owned by Carl Segal and ridden by Buck Davidson, Ballynoe Castle RM, known also as Reggie, has earned 1,377 total career points, displacing retired event mount Winsome Adante from the top spot.

Davidson has ridden Reggie to a number of top finishes both in the U.S. and at international events, including the Burghley Horse Trials in England and the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event. The horse has been entered at the Preliminary and higher levels since 2008 and has already posted good finishes in 2015 events.

Reggie is nourished on feed products designed by Kentucky Equine Research, which sponsors Davidson. Feeds in the Special Needs Nutrition line include Ovation and Re-Leve Sport, both of which can be found in Davidson’s barn.

Ovation is a palatable formulation designed for sport horses requiring balanced energy for maximum performance during competition and efficient muscle recovery afterwards.

Re-Leve Sport contains omega fat sources and fiber-based carbohydrates for optimal performance. This textured feed delivers manageable energy for optimal sport horse focus.
