Bluegrass Horse Feeds Fuels a WinnerBy Kentucky Equine Research Staff · May 13, 2015

Don Cossack claimed victory in the Grade 1 Bibby Financial Services Ireland Punchestown Gold Cup on the second day of the Punchestown Festival racing meet.

Trained by Elliott Gordon, the eight-year-old horse won the three-mile jump race under jockey Paul Carberry. In third position before the final fence, Don Cossack pulled away from rivals Djakadam and Road To Riches, winning by seven lengths.

The jockey was enthusiastic about the horse’s performance and potential, commenting that Don Cossack jumped well throughout the race and answered every cue Carberry gave.

Elliott trains the horses in his racing stable on feeds manufactured by Kentucky Equine Research Team Member Bluegrass Horse Feeds.  He commented, “The horse proved he’s a stayer. It's very special to win, and this is what it's all about.”
