Davidson Taking Two Horses to WEGBy Kentucky Equine Research Staff · July 28, 2014
The last selection event for the U.S. Eventing Team was held July 26 and 27 at Great Meadow in Virginia. After all competitors completed the final phase of the event by galloping around the cross-country course, 11 horse and rider pairs were named as either team members or alternates for the World Equestrian Games to be held in France in August.
Buck Davidson was one of only two riders to be named twice to the list, first as a team member with Ballynoe Castle RM and again as an alternate with Park Trader. Both horses are owned by Carl and Cassandra Segal.
Horses must be in excellent condition to stand up to the rigors of training, travel, and competition before a world-class event. Buck’s horses stay in top form by eating Ovation, a feed formulated specifically for hard-working sport horses. Produced by Kentucky Equine Research, the company that also sponsors Buck, Ovation offers the perfect blend of fat and complex carbohydrates in a palatable formulation, providing balanced energy for maximum performance during competition and efficient muscle recovery afterwards.
