Davidson Tops USEF Eventing National ChampionshipsBy Kentucky Equine Research Staff · October 26, 2015
Over the weekend, KER-sponsored rider Buck Davidson captured first and second place at the USEF 1* Eventing National Championships at the Hagyard Midsouth Three-Day Event and Team Challenge, held in Lexington.
Davidson told Equisearch “It’s always fun coming to the [Kentucky] Horse Park no matter what. They had a nice [cross-country] course yesterday. I’m really happy for Legion Kat and Summer Sleigh Ride; they were both really good.”
On Legion Kat, Davidson scored a 37.5 in dressage on Thursday and kept this score through the cross-country phase on Friday. He accrued four penalties on Saturday with one dropped rail in stadium jumping. On Summer Sleigh Ride, he was named reserve champion, scoring 40.3 in dressage and keeping this score through Saturday until four penalties were added during the stadium round.
Davidson uses KER’s Sport Horse Nutrition feeds to power his top-tier athletes. One is Re-Leve Sport, a textured feed that contains balanced omega fatty acids and fiber-based carbohydrates for optimal performance. The other is Ovation, a pelleted feed that contains multiple sources of energy in a palatable formulation.
