EMTC Offers Training Program for GroomsBy Kentucky Equine Research Staff · February 29, 2016
The Equine Management Training Center (EMTC) is offering a training program for professional equine grooms. The program goals are to fill the need for comprehensive education and to create higher standards for career grooms.
Program Director Suzanne Lacy told Eventing Nation, “The care of the horse is the crutch of the whole thing. The grooms do a lot more than just brush a horse.” She added, “I want to raise the level of the way people think of a groom.”
For working and aspiring grooms, the EMTC offers two-day clinics or an eight-week comprehensive course that includes internships and guaranteed job placement after completion.
Kentucky Equine Research (KER) will present on equine nutrition and conditioning at the continuing education clinics. For more information about the Equine Management Training Center two-day clinics and the extended training sessions, visit www.eqmtc.com.
