Instruction for Trainers of Young Horses

A Young Horse Trainers School will be offered at Maplewood Stables in Reno, Nevada, from October 8 to 13.

The intensive six-day event will be specifically directed toward the care and training of today’s purpose-bred sport horses. Olympic course designer Linda Allen and USEF judge Julie Winkel will be instructing attendees in various topics including halter breaking, handling and trimming feet, longeing and long-lining, trailering, first rides, jumping in chutes and under saddle, schooling shows, progression of individual horses, feeds and feeding as they affect growth, and promotion and marketing of horses.
