KER Feed Powers Fownes to Hong Kong Trainer’s ChampionshipBy Kentucky Equine Research Staff · July 8, 2014
Three last-minute winners earned E●CLIPSE user Caspar Fownes another Hong Kong trainers' championship. The battle for the title went down to the very last race of the season for the second consecutive year, reports racingpost.com.
Fownes began the day one win behind John Size but won three of the first five races on the card. Size responded with wins by Luger and Wonderful Moments (with the latter scoring by a nose in the final race) to tie Fownes with 62 wins apiece for the season. However, Fownes scooped the title with more second-place finishes (59 to 58).
