KER Intern Spotlight: Kaitlyn KastenBy Kentucky Equine Research Staff · September 12, 2017

Kaitlyn Kasten, one of the new year-long interns at Kentucky Equine Research (KER), is from St. Louis, Missouri.

Kaitlyn was first introduced to Thoroughbreds through her grandfather, who raced Thoroughbreds. She attended Murray State University in Kentucky and earned her degree in animal and equine science

Through her internship at KER, Kaitlyn hopes to learn more and gain experience in the field of equine nutrition. Eventually she would like to pursue a master’s degree in something related to horses.

Kaitlyn happens to be the only child for five consecutive generations in her family. Her favorite research horse is Malibu.
