KER Intern Spotlight: Kendra MitchellBy Kentucky Equine Research Staff · July 22, 2016

Interns at Kentucky Equine Research (KER) hail from around the world and stay for either three months in the summer or for a whole year. Kendra Mitchell, one of the new summer interns, is all the way from Palo Alto, California.

During elementary school, Kendra rode a horse for the first time at summer camp. Now she owns two off-track Thoroughbreds and dabbles in eventing and dressage with them.

Kendra attended the University of California, Davis, and majored in animal science with an equine focus. She plans on using her summer internship at KER to gain experience and prepare her for graduate school.

A fun fact about Kendra is that she earned a USDF Bronze Medal and competed through Fourth Level!

Are you pursuing a career that involves horses? An internship at KER may be the perfect fit. Click here for details.
