The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association will present a Breeding Clinic from May 15 to 17 in Lexington, Kentucky. Topics will include pedigree research, breeding procedures, conformation of foals and breeding stock, and pasture management.
Joe Pagan, Ph.D., president of Kentucky Equine Research, will address the attendees on the third day of the clinic. Pagan will explain the importance of correct nutrition as it applies to broodmares, foals, and young horses.
Kentucky Equine Research is an international equine nutrition, research, and consultation company serving both the horse producer and the feed industry. Its goal is to advance the industry's knowledge of equine nutrition and exercise physiology and apply this knowledge to produce healthier, more athletic horses.
