KER President to Speak at USEA ConventionBy Kentucky Equine Research Staff · November 30, 2015
Kentucky Equine Research (KER) President Joe Pagan, Ph.D., will be speaking at the United States Eventing Association’s (USEA) Annual Meeting and Convention in early December. He will cover the topic of “Fitness Training in Eventers: A Role for Heart Rate Monitoring” during the Professional Riders Organization (PRO) meeting.
KER is the Official Equine Sport Nutrition Partner of PRO, providing members with world-renowned nutrition consultation services and access to KER ClockIt Sport, a new mobile app that provides feedback on cardiovascular fitness programs for sport horses.
“When it comes to feeding high-performance horses, one of the challenges is understanding how hard the individual horse is really working,” Pagan explained. “KER ClockIt Sport enables us to gather real-time data on an individual horse’s workload, and use that information to make feeding recommendations, as well as being a valuable tool for trainers and riders.”
Kentucky Equine Research is an international equine nutrition, exercise physiology research, consultation, and product development company. KER has a rich tradition of providing consultation services to the greatest equine athletes in the world. Pagan and his team formulate feeds and supplements specifically designed to meet the needs of high-performance horses.
