KER-Sponsored Rider Honored at USEA ConventionBy Kentucky Equine Research Staff · December 10, 2014

At the recent United States Eventing Association convention, Buck Davidson earned the trophy for the highest-scoring rider in 2014, and his favorite mount, Ballynoe Castle RM, broke an eight-year record to move into the top spot for lifetime eventing points.

Davidson, who is sponsored by Kentucky Equine Research, has ridden the 14-year-old gelding in a number of high-level events in the U.S. and internationally. Ballynoe Castle RM, known as “Reggie” around the barn, is owned by Cassandra and Carl Segal.

To provide the nutrients and energy Reggie used to amass 1,377 points in competition, Davidson selected feeds formulated by Kentucky Equine Research to keep equine athletes in top condition. His choices, Ovation and Re-Leve Sport, are designed specifically to meet the demands of horses in high-level training and competition. Ovation is a pelleted feed for sport horses requiring balanced energy for maximum performance during competition and efficient muscle recovery afterwards. Re-Leve Sport, a textured feed, contains balanced omega fat sources and fiber-based carbohydrates for optimal performance.
