KER Sponsors Kentucky Reining CupBy Kentucky Equine Research Staff · April 15, 2014
Reiners and other managers of Western performance horses turn to Kentucky Equine Research (KER) for expertise on equine diets, conditioning, and supplements. KER is investing in this industry by sponsoring the Kentucky Reining Cup, to be held April 25 through 27 at the Kentucky Horse Park, in conjunction with the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event.
KER products and expertise are utilized by high-performance reining riders, including Canada’s Lisa Coulter, twice ranked as the leading reining rider in the world by the FEI. Lisa uses KER’s EO•3™ and Synovate HA® to support her competition and breeding horses. EO•3 supplies omega-3 fatty acids, compounds with positive effects on reproduction, bone development, and numerous inflammatory conditions in horses. Synovate HA® contains hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance that contributes significantly to maintenance of cartilage health and elasticity, joint fluid viscoelasticity, and lubrication of the entire joint mechanism.
“Joints are everything in our horses because we do so much stopping,” Coulter said. “Hocks are challenged all the time, so we’re always looking for ways to support the joints. Synovate’s allowing us that longevity.”
Stop by the KER booth at the Kentucky Reining Cup to meet Coulter, ask nutrition advisors about your horse’s diet, and learn more about KER.
