Livestock Investigation Training for public safety officials will be held at Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky, on May 16-18, 2012. The three-day training teaches participants how to handle horses and cattle, access body condition score in both species, identify situations that need intervention, and apply Kentucky statutes to animal cases. Both classroom and hands-on sessions with live animals will be included.
The course was developed by the Kentucky Horse Council in partnership with the Kentucky Cattlemen's Association with input from experienced enforcement officers, veterinarians, and livestock producers.
