Meet a KER Intern: Devan C. By Kentucky Equine Research · May 22, 2014

Kentucky Equine Research (KER), a private research company based in central Kentucky, offers summer and year-long internships to college students who want to gain hands-on experience in equine nutrition and exercise physiology studies.

Devan C. is currently a research barn intern at KER. Devan grew up in Falmouth, Massachusetts, where she spent a lot of time with horses, even having a job as a summer camp riding instructor once she was older.  She’s always been interested in research, and when she was younger wanted to become a Hostess cupcake tester! She attended Colorado State University and graduated with a B.S. degree in equine science and a business minor. While at KER she wants to learn everything she can about the latest nutrition advances and enjoy her time in the Bluegrass State.

After her internship she’d like to keep asking questions and pushing boundaries while continuing to work in nutrition research.
