At the 2014 Barbury International Three-Star Horse Trials held in the UK, Andrew Nicholson claimed first place for the third consecutive year. Riding the gray gelding Avebury, Nicholson was on top after the dressage phase and carried the lead through the remainder of the competition.
Nicholson is rated number two in the world in the equestrian discipline of eventing. A native of New Zealand, he trains in Ireland and uses feed products manufactured by Bluegrass Horse Feeds, a Team Member of Kentucky Equine Research.
Beginning with the Olympic Games in 1984, Nicholson has represented New Zealand in many top-level international competitions including the Burghley, Luhmuhlen, Pau, and Rolex Kentucky events. He has also collected several Olympic medals.
