Pony Club to Include Non-OwnersBy Kentucky Equine Research Staff · December 27, 2010

The United States Pony Clubs (USPC) announced the approval of a Riding Center Program that allows youth who don't own a horse or pony to participate in USPC activities and work toward skill rankings. This program was evaluated for feasibility in a five-year trial, and was judged to have enough merit to continue. With a decline in the number of back-yard horses, the option gives riding stable students a chance to learn riding and horse management on a school horse. Anyone interested in this program can visit www.ponyclub.org or call the USPC office at 859-254-7669.
