Products from Bluegrass Feeds Fuel a WinnerBy Kentucky Equine Research Staff · April 8, 2015

In a close photo finish, Riverside City won the Ulster Grand National Handicap Steeplechase at Downpatrick Racecourse in Northern Ireland.

Two other horses, Heavenly Brook and Keep On Track, led for most of the race. Riverside City was in fifth place heading toward the final fence. The uphill run to the finish line proved too much for the other horses, and Riverside City put in a tough stretch run to win by a head. Man With Van was close behind to take second place.

Riverside City is trained by Gordon Elliott and was ridden by Davy Condon. Elliott trains and races the horses in his stable on grain products manufactured by Bluegrass Horse Feeds, a Team Member of Kentucky Equine Research. Feeds from Bluegrass are formulated to give racehorses steady energy, helping to avoiding the performance slumps some horses experience near the end of a race
