The Racing Officials Accreditation Program (ROAP) will offer a Certificate Program in Arlington Heights, Illinois, on September 28 and 29.
The ROAP Certificate Program is designed to provide training for anyone interested in becoming an entry-level racing official or for someone interested in learning about what goes on in the racing office.
The two-day course will include both classroom and hands-on training. Participants will select one of the following positions in which to earn a certificate good for five years: horse identifier, paddock judge, patrol/placing judge, outrider, starter/assistant starter, or clerk of scales.
