Split Rock Farm to Offer FEI Jumping CompetitionBy Kentucky Equine Research Staff · May 18, 2015

Derek Braun, an international show jumping rider and owner of Split Rock Farm in Lexington, Kentucky, has instituted two new FEI jumping competitions for 2015. The Split Rock Jumping Tour will feature its first show at the CSI*** level on May 22 to 24, with a similar fall event also planned. The schedule will include Grand Prix, speed, and young-rider classes and will give competitors an FEI-grade experience without having to travel to Europe. Riders will compete for top prize money and awards.

For spectators, the venue will include European-style amenities such as private ringside tables overlooking the jumping field, a posh VIP Lounge, specialty shopping, and a VIP Spa Indulge Zone. Stadium-style seating, a trade fair with food vendors and boutiques, a beer garden featuring products from local breweries, and a festival area for children and families are also in the line-up. A formal black-tie affair, The Gala at the Rock, will take place on the Saturday evening of each show and will offer dining, entertainment, music, and dancing.

Braun, who represented the United States on the Nations Cup team at the Porto Alegre CSIO4* in Brazil in 2013, is sponsored by Hallway Feeds, a Team Member of Kentucky Equine Research.
