Sponsored Eventer Wins in the United KingdomBy Kentucky Equine Research Staff · September 5, 2017
KER-sponsored rider Liz Halliday-Sharp competed in both Scotland and England over the past couple of weeks.
In Perthshire, Scotland, Liz participated in the Blair Castle Horse Trials. She and her mount Gorsehill Cooley placed second in the CCI1*, scoring 44.7.
In a Facebook post, Liz said, “He literally gave me everything he had in very difficult conditions in all three phases, and I couldn’t be happier with him!”
After Scotland, Liz moved forward to Hook, England, to compete in the Wellington International Horse Trials. She claimed victory by way of a 7.4-point lead with Carpe Diem IV in the Advanced class and earned second place with Deniro Z in a different class of advanced for eight- and nine-year-olds.
Liz uses KER Sport Horse Nutrition feeds in the U.S. and KER-partner Saracen Horse Feeds in the U.K. She also relies on Bio•Bloom™ PS, EO•3™, Restore® SR, RiteTrac™, and Synovate HA® to provide optimal nutrition for her horses to travel and perform.
“When horses are traveling it is important to have some consistency in their feeding program. When we spend half the year in the United Kingdom, we choose Saracen because they are a direct partner of KER,” explained Liz. “We know that we are going to have the same quality of feed so that our horses will have a direct changeover.”
