Sponsored Rider Invited to Paralympic Selection TrialsBy Kentucky Equine Research Staff · October 22, 2015
Sponsored dressage rider Mary Jordan has been invited to compete in the U.S. National Para-Dressage Championship, as well as the U.S. Selection Trials for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
Jordan, a Grade IV para-equestrian, rides Rubicon 75, an Oldenburg owned by Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center of Loxahatchee, Fla. Rubicon was formerly owned and ridden by Catherine Haddad Staller.
“What a horse,” Jordan said. “He is magic, young, and just getting started!”
Jordan relies on KERx Special Needs Nutrition to keep Rubicon and her other horses performing their best. Bio-Bloom PS and RiteTrac are Jordan’s go-to solutions for Rubicon, a horse that struggled with poor hoof quality and digestive issues brought about by a demanding travel schedule.
Jordan previously represented the United States in para-dressage at the 2010 World Equestrian Games, and was named an alternate to the squad in 2014.
