Sponsored Rider Pursues Path to 2016 Paralympic GamesBy Kentucky Equine Research Staff · January 11, 2016
KER-sponsored para-dressage rider Mary Jordan is continuing her path to the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro with her equine partner Rubicon 75.
Over the weekend of January 8, Jordan and Rubicon earned first place in Grade IV at the $10,000 CPEDI3* Para-Dressage competition in Wellington, Florida. This competition is a Paralympic Qualifier for the Games in Rio.
Jordan uses KERx Special Needs Nutrition products to ensure that Rubicon and her other horses are performing at their best. With Rubicon, she focuses on hoof quality and digestive support.
“The most remarkable transformation has occurred with our use of Bio·Bloom™ PS on Rubicon’s feet,” she explained. “When I got him, he could not wear shoes and had issues with past quarter cracks, which were compromising his career. A year later, his feet are beautiful and he is sound.”
She noted, “I have also utilized RiteTrac™ most successfully with Ruby, with all of the travel he has done in the past year.”
Jordan will continue campaigning to represent Team USA at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio.
