USEF to Hold Endurance Trials and Dressage Training By Kentucky Equine Research Staff · April 4, 2014
The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) will hold the endurance team selection trials for the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games (WEG) on April 17 to 20. The CEI**120-km trial will be held in Broxton Bridge, South Carolina. The endurance team will represent the United States at the WEG competition to be held in France this fall.
Sherwood, Oregon, will be the site of the Merkel/USEF Young Horse Dressage Training Session to be held April 19 and 20. This program of training helps in identifying young horses that may have the potential to represent the United States in future international competitions. All young horses between the ages of 4 and 6 are eligible for the sessions, and interested owners and riders can apply to participate.
Kentucky Equine Research (KER) is an educational partner of the USEF. In this role, KER equine nutritionists evaluate rations, answer questions about feed management and nutrition-related problems, and help to provide suitable forage and grain when USEF horses travel to international competitions.
