USEF Plans Training Session for Young HorsesBy Kentucky Equine Research Staff · June 17, 2014

The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) will hold a Markel/USEF Young Horse Training Session on June 28 to 29 in Chesapeake City, Maryland. This program helps in identifying young horses that may have the potential to represent the United States in future international competitions.

All young horses between the ages of 4 and 6 are eligible for the sessions, and interested owners and riders can apply to participate.

Kentucky Equine Research (KER) is an educational partner of the USEF. In this role, KER equine nutritionists evaluate rations, answer questions about feed management and nutrition-related problems, and help to provide suitable forage and grain when USEF horses travel to international competitions.
