Vaulting Clinic AvailableBy Kentucky Equine Research Staff · February 10, 2012

Vaulting, an FEI discipline that involves making gymnastic moves on the back of a cantering horse, is not as well-known as some other equine sports. Some vaulting enthusiasts are gymnasts who take up riding; others are riders first, and then become vaulters. Either way, the discipline is challenging for participants and entertaining for spectators, but may be a difficult activity for beginners to get started.

For those who would like to try vaulting, the Life Adventure Center in Versailles, Kentucky, is offering open vaulting sessions beginning in February of 2012. Participants must be at least seven years old, and sessions will be scheduled for beginners, experienced vaulters, and families.
