Zenyatta, the champion race mare who was recently retired from the track after winning 19 of 20 career starts, has been honored by the Associated Press (AP) for the second year in a row.
The AP listed Zenyatta in second place on its list of outstanding female athletes of 2010, just below Olympic gold medal skier Lindsey Vonn. In 2009, Zenyatta was listed second to tennis player Serena Williams.
